As the most critical component of LED products, the quality of LED lamp beads plays an important role in determining the quality of LED products. Next, what are the important indicators of LED lamp bead quality identification?


Luminance index. The higher the brightness of the LED lamp bead, the greater the margin of the current used, which is beneficial to saving power consumption and maintaining the thermal stability of the LED lamp bead. When the chip brightness is fixed, the smaller the angle, the brighter the LED will be, but the smaller the luminous angle will be. Generally, LED lamp beads of 100 ° - 120 ° should be selected to ensure that LED products have sufficient visual angle.


Failure rate index. Some LED products are composed of tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of groups of red, green and blue LED beads. The failure rate of lamp beads will not be higher than 1/10000 even if they are aged for 72 hours.


Attenuation characteristic index. The brightness of LED lamp beads will slowly decline with the increase of use time. The attenuation rate of LED lamp bead brightness is related to LED chip, auxiliary materials and packaging process. Generally speaking, after 1000 hours and 20 mA ambient temperature lighting test, the attenuation of red LED beads should be less than 7%, and the attenuation of blue and green LED beads should be less than 10%. For example, the consistency of red, green and blue attenuation has a great impact on the future white balance of full-color LED display screen, thus affecting the display fidelity of the display screen.

Anti static capability index. As LED lamp beads are semiconductor devices and sensitive to static electricity, they are easy to cause static electricity failure, so the anti-static ability is also crucial to the life of LED products. In general, the failure voltage of LED lamp beads in human electrostatic mode test shall not be lower than 2000V. That is, the anti-static capacity (ESD) is 2000V.
